Best Western Kom Hotel Stockholm Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Best Western Kom Hotel Stockholm, you immediately get that feeling of being in the right place — it’s not trying too hard to impress, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole setup. The lobby has this clean, Scandinavian vibe that feels authentically Swedish without being overly designed. I mean, it’s a three-star property, so you’re not expecting marble floors and crystal chandeliers, but honestly, the atmosphere here is more comfortable than some fancier places I’ve stayed. The attention to detail in the design creates an inviting environment that appeals to both leisure and business travelers.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what really sold me on this place — Döbelnsgatan puts you right in Norrmalm, which is basically Stockholm‘s beating heart. You can walk to Gamla Stan in about fifteen minutes, and the main shopping district is literally around the corner. What couples seem to love (and I get why they rated the location so highly) is that you’re close enough to everything but still on a quieter street where you can actually get some sleep. The nearest T-bana station is just a few blocks away, so getting around the city is ridiculously easy. This central positioning makes it an ideal base for exploring Sweden’s capital.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run Best Western — clean, functional, and surprisingly comfortable. The beds are actually really good quality, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The bathroom is compact but efficient, and honestly, the shower pressure was better than I expected. You know what I appreciated? The blackout curtains actually work, which is crucial during those bright Swedish summer nights when the sun barely sets. Modern amenities are thoughtfully integrated throughout.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast situation here is genuinely impressive for a three-star hotel. They’ve got this buffet setup that covers all the bases — continental options, vegetarian dishes, vegan choices, and even gluten-free items. I was skeptical about how good the vegan options would be, but they actually put some thought into it. The Swedish classics are there too, so you get that authentic Nordic breakfast experience with proper cheese, fresh bread, and really good coffee. It’s served in a bright, airy space that makes morning feel less rushed. The restaurant staff ensures everything is well-maintained throughout service.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t the kind of place that’s going to blow your mind with amenities or over-the-top service, but that’s sort of the point. What Best Western Kom Hotel Stockholm does really well is deliver exactly what most travelers actually need — a clean, comfortable base in an excellent location with genuinely helpful staff. The fact that couples consistently rate the location so highly tells you everything about how well-positioned this place is for exploring the city. You’re paying for reliability and location, and you’re getting both without any unpleasant surprises. This hotel represents excellent value for discerning travelers.

Stockholm hotels keep design lovers close to Nordic museums, fika cafés, and waterfront cycling paths.

Reviews of Best Western Kom Hotel Stockholm

  • Vladep from North Macedonia (8/10)

Great room on the 8th floor with an excellent city view as requested. Great value for money. Location is 20 min walk from the new center and 30 min walk from old town Gamla stan. The Metro station is only 5 minutes from the hotel. The room was perfect, big, and clean with a lot of light, a comfortable bed, a work table, and 2 armchairs with an additional small coffee table. Free water, tea, and coffee in the room. Cleaning every day. The toilet was big and comfortable. The wifi in the room, even though it had a low signal, had a perfect speed of 30mbps, excellent for work and video meetings. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of food choices, drinks, and healthy shots. We didn't have too much free time to use the sauna and fitness, but they were great too. Additionally, there was free coffee, tea, and cookies anytime at the reception lobby.

  • Amber from United Kingdom (9/10)

Really comfy beds and good breakfast. Some different things each day to eat, even as a vegan. The location is great and although it’s not fancy, with amazing views – it’s simple and effective to rest your head whilst you enjoy the city.

  • Julie from United Kingdom (9/10)

Loved the breakfast, so much choice. Especially liked the overnight oats and the pancakes. Room was spacious with comfortable beds
Only 2 or 3 stops on metro to old town so bought a travel pass which could also use on the ferry. There was a bar near the hotel called the Crazy Horse where the prices were cheap.

  • Levente from Hungary (9/10)

Good option for a reasonable price for a couple of days for Stockholm sightseeing. City centre is very close (we walked instead of the metro), the neighborhood friendly with lots of shops and restaurants. The room was not too big, but spotless and well equipped, the sauna was a nice bonus. Breakfast was above our expectation.

  • Rūta from Lithuania (9/10)

We took a room for four with a sofa bed. The room is comfortable and clean. The advantage is that the speakers are in the rooms and there is very good sound insolation. Breakfast is abundant. If you stay on the weekend, I recommend choosing an earlier breakfast time, because from 9 am to 10 am you may have to wait for a table to become available. Very nice staff. Drinking water and coffee and tea are always available in the lobby bar, which are included in the price.

  • Panos from United Kingdom (9/10)

The location was ideal and the breakfast was also great

  • Lorena from Croatia (8/10)

Very clean and comfortable room, close to the centre!

  • Frank from United Arab Emirates (9/10)

good buffet breakfast with wide variety of local food, delicious…reasonably close to city center and old town, close to metro, nice restaurants nearby, had a snooker table room with free coffee which was nice…Huge gym with sauna.

  • Natasa114 from Greece (8/10)

Breakfast was really rich and tasty! The location of the hotel was close to the subway. The room really comfortable and the temperature normal. We had a great time.

  • Natasha from United Kingdom (8/10)

Location was a short 10 – 15 min walk from the central station. There were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The breakfast was a varied buffet with hot and cold options. It was lovely to have fresh melon and the vegan smoothie was lovely. I went early to avoid queues. The room was OK. Nothing special but quiet, clean and compact, which was fine for a short stay. It was in the adjacent building to the main hotel, so you have to walk 1 min outside to get to breakfast, which was fine. It was nice to have a kettle (with tea, coffee and milk) and mini-fridge in the room.
