Elite Hotel Arcadia Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Elite Hotel Arcadia on Körsbärsvägen, you immediately get that “this is going to be good” feeling. The four-star property sits perfectly in Östermalm — honestly one of Stockholm’s most elegant neighborhoods — and there’s something about the way it blends into the tree-lined street that just works. I mean, you’re literally on Cherry Tree Road (that’s what Körsbärsvägen means), which gives you a hint about how charming this area gets, especially in spring. The entrance has this understated Swedish sophistication that doesn’t try too hard, and the staff actually seem genuinely happy to see you arrive.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying at Elite Hotel Arcadia — you’re in Östermalm, which means you’re walking distance from some of Stockholm’s best shopping and dining, but it’s not touristy-crowded like Gamla Stan can get. Couples absolutely adore this spot (they rate the location 8.6 out of 10), and I totally get why. You can stroll to the waterfront in about ten minutes, hit the designer boutiques on Biblioteksgatan, or just wander the quiet residential streets admiring those gorgeous Stockholm apartment buildings. The hotel provides private parking too, which — trust me — is a huge deal in this part of the city where finding a spot can be a real headache.
The Room Experience
The rooms strike that perfect balance between Scandinavian minimalism and actual comfort. You know how some Nordic design can feel a bit cold? Well, that’s not the case here. The beds are properly comfortable (not just Instagram-pretty), and there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris. What really impressed me was the attention to lighting — they’ve got it figured out so you’re not squinting to read or fumbling around in harsh overhead glare. The bathrooms are clean and modern, though not huge, which is pretty standard for Stockholm hotels in this category.
Breakfast & Dining
Honestly, the breakfast at Elite Hotel Arcadia is where they really shine. The buffet setup covers all the bases — continental classics, plus solid vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options that don’t feel like afterthoughts. I’m talking proper Swedish breads, local cheeses, and that perfect Nordic salmon that makes you understand why Scandinavians are so particular about fish. The dining area gets great morning light, and the coffee is actually good (not just hotel-adequate). Recent guests consistently rave about the food quality here, and after eating there, I can see why the meals get such high marks.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to Elite Hotel Arcadia is that it delivers on the fundamentals without any pretense. The location scores consistently high because it gives you that authentic Stockholm neighborhood feel while keeping you close to everything that matters. The staff know their stuff about the city and can point you toward the good local spots, not just the obvious tourist traps. It’s the kind of place where everything works smoothly — from check-in to checkout — and you leave feeling like you actually experienced Stockholm rather than just visited another generic hotel.
Stockholm’s hotels wrap guests in Nordic textiles, greenhouse atriums, and concierge-led husky tours.

I was travelling for business. The location fits my expectations perfectly, and it is close to the metro and the meeting venue. The staff in the hotel was super nice. The breakfast is above average, with everything you need for breakfast with the Swedish hint.
Christophe from France (8/10)
The hotel is ideally located just a few minutes’ walk from the metro station on Line 14, which provides quick access to the city center. You can also walk to the city center, and it’s an interesting and pleasant walk. The neighborhood is calm, seems safe, and has plenty of charming restaurants nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering many useful tips during check-in. The breakfast was exceptional—one of the most varied and complete I’ve ever had, with good quality and attention to detail. The rooms were well-insulated, warm, and equipped with a large TV and a safe. The bed was comfortable, offering excellent sleep quality, and the duvet retained heat perfectly. Additionally, the hotel was impressively quiet, with no noise from outside or within the property.
