Elite Hotel Arcadia Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Elite Hotel Arcadia feels like discovering one of Stockholm’s best-kept secrets, even though it’s sitting right there in plain sight on Östermalm. This four-star property has that understated Swedish elegance thing down perfectly — you know, where everything looks effortlessly sophisticated without trying too hard. The lobby strikes this nice balance between modern and cozy, and honestly, the staff greeting feels genuinely warm rather than that rehearsed hotel politeness you get sometimes.
The Östermalm Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re in Östermalm, which means you’re basically in Stockholm’s most desirable neighborhood without the tourist chaos. Körsbärsvägen is this quiet tree-lined street that feels residential, but you’re actually walking distance from some of the city’s best shopping and dining. The couples who stay here really get it (they rate the location 8.5, and I can see why) — there’s something romantic about strolling through this area, especially when the evening light hits those classic Stockholm buildings just right.
The Room Experience
My room had this clean Scandinavian design that actually felt lived-in rather than sterile — think warm woods, quality textiles, and windows that let in all that beautiful Nordic light. The beds are seriously comfortable, and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re rattling around in an oversized suite. What really impressed me was the attention to small details — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets where you actually need them, and a bathroom that feels like a mini spa retreat.
Dining That Delivers
The food here is genuinely impressive — and I mean that as someone who’s eaten their way through Stockholm pretty thoroughly. The restaurant serves this modern Swedish cuisine that feels both innovative and comforting, and honestly, some of the best meals I had during my stay were right here in the hotel. Breakfast is where they really shine though — the buffet covers all the bases with continental options, plus they’ve got vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices that actually taste good (not just afterthoughts). The morning spread feels more like a proper Swedish smörgåsbord than typical hotel fare.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something special about a hotel that gets the fundamentals right while adding those extra touches that matter. The private parking is a genuine blessing if you’re driving in Stockholm — trust me on this one. But what really sets Elite Hotel Arcadia apart is how it captures that quintessential Stockholm experience without the pretension. You’re staying somewhere that feels authentically local, the service is attentive without being intrusive, and you’ll find yourself in one of the city’s most charming neighborhoods. It’s the kind of place where you’ll actually want to spend time at the hotel, not just crash between sightseeing adventures.
Stockholm’s hotels wrap guests in Nordic textiles, greenhouse atriums, and concierge-led husky tours.

I was travelling for business. The location fits my expectations perfectly, and it is close to the metro and the meeting venue. The staff in the hotel was super nice. The breakfast is above average, with everything you need for breakfast with the Swedish hint.
Christophe from France (8/10)
The hotel is ideally located just a few minutes’ walk from the metro station on Line 14, which provides quick access to the city center. You can also walk to the city center, and it’s an interesting and pleasant walk. The neighborhood is calm, seems safe, and has plenty of charming restaurants nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering many useful tips during check-in. The breakfast was exceptional—one of the most varied and complete I’ve ever had, with good quality and attention to detail. The rooms were well-insulated, warm, and equipped with a large TV and a safe. The bed was comfortable, offering excellent sleep quality, and the duvet retained heat perfectly. Additionally, the hotel was impressively quiet, with no noise from outside or within the property.
