Brommavik Hotel Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Brommavik Hotel on Karlsbodavägen, I’ll be honest — I wasn’t expecting much from this four-star property tucked away in Bromma. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you’re not looking for them. The building has this understated Swedish elegance that doesn’t scream for attention, and there’s something refreshing about that approach. Free parking right at the hotel was my first pleasant surprise — trust me, if you’ve ever tried to park in central Stockholm, you’ll appreciate this more than you think.
The Bromma Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in Bromma — you’re actually close to everything that matters without dealing with the tourist crowds. The airport is practically next door, which sounds terrible but honestly isn’t noticeable unless you’re really listening for planes. What’s brilliant is how quickly you can get into the city center, yet you’re staying somewhere that feels genuinely Swedish rather than international-hotel-generic. I mean, couples seem to get this — they rate the location 8.6, and I can see why. It’s got that residential neighborhood vibe where you can grab coffee at a local café and feel like you’re experiencing real Stockholm life.
Your Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from thoughtful Scandinavian design — clean lines, functional furniture, and everything you need without unnecessary clutter. Nothing fancy, but everything works perfectly. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the windows actually open, which is surprisingly rare these days. What struck me most was how quiet everything was — you’d never guess you’re this close to an airport. The housekeeping is spot-on too, and I noticed they pay attention to small details that make a difference after a long day of sightseeing.
Breakfast Worth Waking Up For
Honestly, hotel breakfasts can be hit or miss, but Brommavik gets it right. They’ve got this buffet setup that covers all the bases — continental options, vegetarian choices, and even gluten-free items that don’t taste like cardboard. The Swedish breakfast staples are there (hello, amazing bread and cheese), but they also understand that travelers have different needs. I watched them accommodate dietary restrictions without making anyone feel like they were causing trouble. The restaurant area has these large windows that let in tons of natural light, which makes morning coffee feel less rushed and more civilized.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
There’s something telling about a place when people choose to return — and apparently, Brommavik has more repeat guests than most hotels. After staying here, I get it. It’s not trying to be the flashiest option in Stockholm, but it delivers on the things that actually matter: comfortable rooms, genuinely helpful staff, solid breakfast, and a location that works for both business and leisure travelers. You’re getting honest value without paying for amenities you’ll never use. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need — a place that does the fundamentals really well and lets you focus on why you came to Stockholm in the first place.
Locals suggest to book apartments in Stockholm around Östermalm for food halls, wine bars, and sculpture gardens.

I liked the hotel from the moment I stepped into the building. The hall was just so inviting, with many decorational details, the floor paintings, decorative plates displayed, a piano etc.
There's an elevator and it also looked so stylish, like old fashion hotel, in a good sense.
The rooms – the same, very stylish and clean. The room I took was without window but it was cozy. The beds where not so wide and a bit too soft but OK. There was tea and coffee and a water cooker, a table, a TV that has casting built in (no tv6 though!). The bathroom was nice, a lot of space to keep your toiletries and also they provide toiletries – again beautifully displayed.
The service in this hotel is top notch – I asked for more tea and the receptionist brought it to the room, like a loooot of tea 🙂 And then I called to the reception (there's a phone in the room) for an extra duvet as me and my boyfriend don't like to share and they brought it to the room too.
The breakfast was delicious. I don't remember now exactly what it had but it was a very good variety including chia pudding and ginger shots.
The room has a shoehorn and a hair dryer 🙂
The hotel is easy to get to with trams.Noor from Sweden (8/10)

Megustapinchitos from Finland (7/10)
Rather easy to access using a car. Free parking although probably not always enough parking places. Underground nearby making travelling to city center quite easy. The room was rather quiet when windows were closed but when open, the tram next to the hotel could be heard.

Nice location. Clean and comfortable rooms. This was a great facility and place to stay. But what really made it special was the staff. Everyone we came in contact with was courteous, helpful and professional. The breakfast was excellent. It does not happen by accident. It happens because the management and the staff care about providing a nice service. Thank you
