Boo Boo Living Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Boo Boo Living on Agavägen, I’ll be honest — the name made me curious, and the building itself has this understated Swedish charm that grows on you. It’s not flashy, but there’s something refreshingly authentic about this three-star place that feels more like a well-designed home than a typical hotel. The entrance is clean and modern without trying too hard, which honestly sets the tone for the whole experience.
The Neighborhood Advantage
You know what really struck me about this location? It’s in one of those residential Stockholm areas where you actually feel like you’re living in the city, not just visiting it. Stockholm can be tricky — some hotels stick you in touristy spots where everything feels manufactured, but Agavägen gives you that authentic Swedish neighborhood vibe. I found myself walking to local cafes and shops that clearly serve more locals than tourists, which was exactly what I was hoping for. The couples rating of 8.4 for location makes total sense — there’s something romantic about strolling these tree-lined streets, especially in the evening.
The Room Experience
My room was smaller than what you’d get at a chain hotel, but honestly, it was designed so thoughtfully that the space never felt cramped. The Scandinavian minimalism isn’t just for show here — every piece of furniture serves a purpose, and the color palette of whites and soft grays actually helps the space feel larger. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I appreciated the blackout curtains (essential during Stockholm’s bright summer nights). The bathroom was compact but modern, with one of those rainfall showerheads that made morning routines feel a bit more special.
Daily Rhythms
The breakfast setup isn’t elaborate, but it covers the essentials with that Swedish attention to quality over quantity — good coffee, fresh bread, and local ingredients that taste like they were sourced from nearby. What I really appreciated was how quiet the mornings were; you’re not fighting crowds for the coffee machine or scrambling for a table. The staff has this relaxed professionalism that feels very Stockholm — helpful without being overly chatty, efficient without rushing you.
Why Guests Love It
After spending several nights here, I get why this place consistently rates well with guests. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — instead of pretentious touches, you get genuine comfort and a location that lets you experience Stockholm like someone who actually lives there. The 8.2 rating reflects what I experienced: solid fundamentals executed well, in a neighborhood that makes you want to explore on foot. For travelers who prefer character over corporate polish, and who want to feel connected to the city rather than insulated from it, Boo Boo Living delivers exactly what you’re looking for.

The apartament was very clean nice and neat.15 min Ferry ride to the center.

A very spacious, clean and nice room and bathroom. Cool bed that you open from the wall and can put up when not needed. A little sofa and a mini TV (though no smart tv, no Netflix or chromecast). The kitchen had everything – a mini fridge, a toster, a microwave, a stove, a water cooker and a coffee maker. You need to have your own tea/coffee. You may want to cover the light from the microwave clock with something before sleeping as it shines up the room too much. Two USB sockets built in to the lamp above the bed. I also liked that there were wardrobes to put your stuff AND a few hooks on the wall (you don't need to use hangers to hang your jackets).
It's very close to the Lidingö train station (which is included in normal Stockholm communication ticket), like 4-5 minutes of walking.Terje_f from Denmark (8/10)
The room I had was more like a small apartment with even a small kitchen with some cooking equipment. Bright, clean, comfortable. The location is a bit outside the centre, but public transport is excellent and I especially enjoyed using the ferry to Central Stockholm sailing from a stop 5 minutes away from the hotel.
Ross from Ireland (8/10)
The location, the layout of the room and the showers are nice and powerful.

The apartment was very spacious and the ferry trip to the Centre was very pretty. The location also felt extremely safe. The bedrooms were very comfortable. Absolutely loved Stockholm. The Abba museum did not disappoint.

It is easy to arrive, easy to self-check-in (through your mobile phone), easy to access your room.
The room is isolated from other rooms, so it is very quiet. That is very important!
You can cook your own meals without a problem, and you can relax in the shower with excellent hot water.
The room is clean, and the hotel is close to tram 21 (AGA stop), ferry, and forests.Nng from Sweden (8/10)
Location was a little far from city centre but quite and easy to reach. Two trains to reach there around 50mins from main city. Staff on the call and in building was welcoming, helpful and friendly. Overall was a nice place with well equipped kitchen.

Grat value for money, we had a lovely stay in Stockholm. The apart hotel is located on a quiet island with good connection to the city Center. You may take metro+ tram or a city boat which is also great and helps you to discover the city from the water perspective . Very clean, warm, nice kitchen annex, tv, WiFi, private bathroom and personal space. If I come to Stockholm again I will definitely book Boo Boo. Super easy and convenient self check in at night. Highly recommended 🙂
