The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a four-star Scandic property — thoughtfully designed without being flashy. The bed was genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually works properly. What I appreciated was the attention to small details — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets where you actually need them, and blackout curtains that really do block out the light. The whole space felt calm and uncluttered, which is perfect after a long day of sightseeing or meetings.

The breakfast buffet here is honestly one of the better hotel spreads I’ve had in Sweden — and that’s saying something because Scandic generally does breakfast well. You’ve got all the Swedish classics like gravlax and crisp bread, but also international options that don’t feel like an afterthought. The coffee is strong (thank goodness), and they keep everything well-stocked even during busy periods. There’s also a restaurant on-site, though I’ll be honest — I ended up exploring the neighborhood for dinner most nights since there are some solid local spots within walking distance.

What really sets this place apart is the repeat guest factor — apparently more people come back here than at most other properties, and after staying here, I totally understand why. It’s that sweet spot of being professional without being stuffy, comfortable without being boring. The location gives you easy access to Stockholm proper while keeping you away from the tourist chaos, and the whole operation just runs smoothly.
