I mean, couples consistently rate this location 9.5 out of 10, and after spending time here, I get why — there’s something romantic about being able to wander through Stockholm’s neighborhoods without constantly checking maps or waiting for transport.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid Scandic property — functional, comfortable, with those floor-to-ceiling windows that let in all that gorgeous Nordic light. The design keeps things simple but warm, with blonde wood accents and textiles in muted blues and grays that somehow make the space feel bigger than it actually is. What really impressed me was the attention to practical details — plenty of outlets where you actually need them, a desk that’s genuinely usable, and blackout curtains that actually work (trust me, this matters during those endless summer days).

Morning Fuel

The breakfast buffet here is — well, it’s Swedish, so you know it’s going to be good. They’ve got the usual suspects like fresh bread, excellent coffee, and a solid selection of local cheeses and cured meats, but what caught my attention was how they handle the morning rush. Even when the restaurant area gets busy (which it does, given the hotel’s popularity), the flow works surprisingly well. The herring selection alone tells you they’re taking this seriously, and honestly, starting your day with proper Swedish coffee while planning your Stockholm adventures feels pretty perfect.

Look, this isn’t the fanciest hotel in Stockholm, but it absolutely nails what most travelers actually need — a solid base in an unbeatable location with reliable service and comfortable rooms. The fact that you can walk out the door and be at the Royal Palace in fifteen minutes, or grab dinner in Södermalm without thinking twice about transport, makes up for any bells and whistles you might find elsewhere.   I liked the location. Doesn't get much better. I also liked the staff were very friendly. The rooms were big and we had the space we needed and the bed was quite comfortable. So was the bedding and pillows.

  location of the holiday is amazing, within walking distance of all of the activities/things you want to see and do , rooms were lovely and spacious and beds were unreal
