Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about Bromma — it’s not touristy at all, which means you get to see how Stockholmers actually live. The hotel is positioned beautifully along Gustavslundsvägen, and I mean it when I say couples absolutely love this spot (they rate it 8.8, and I can see why). You’re close enough to the city center but far enough away to escape the crowds and cruise ship chaos. The private parking is actually a huge deal here since finding parking in Stockholm can be a nightmare, and the public transport connections are solid when you want to head into Gamla Stan or Södermalm.

My room had that signature Scandic comfort — nothing over-the-top, just really well-thought-out design that actually works for travelers. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel marketing speak), and the windows let in tons of natural light, which you really appreciate during those short winter days. What I loved was how quiet everything felt, especially compared to hotels right in the city center where you’re dealing with trams and late-night revelers. The bathrooms are modern and spacious enough that you’re not bumping into everything while getting ready.

The breakfast buffet here is honestly one of the better hotel spreads I’ve encountered in Stockholm — and that’s saying something since Scandinavians really know their breakfast game. They’ve got all the classics like gravlax, different breads, and proper coffee, plus they offer breakfast to go if you’re heading out early for day trips. I actually saw quite a few business travelers grabbing the portable option, which seems pretty practical. The dining area has these large windows that look out over the neighborhood, so you’re watching Stockholm wake up while you eat.

  Good location, close to a metro station. Quite a big parking area (additional fee applies, 150 SEK for 24 hours and you can not pay less). Comfortable and clean room with good beds. Very nice breakfast with several choices.
