Hobo Hotel Stockholm Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hobo Hotel Stockholm, you immediately get this cool, understated vibe that feels distinctly Swedish — not flashy, but thoughtfully designed in a way that makes you want to linger in the lobby. The four-star property sits right on Brunkebergstorg in Norrmalm, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Stockholm here, with everything walkable and the energy of the city right outside your door.
The Perfect Stockholm Base
What I love about this spot is how it puts you right in the thick of things without feeling touristy. Brunkebergstorg is this little square that locals actually use — there’s always something happening, whether it’s people heading to work or meeting friends for drinks. You can walk to Gamla Stan in about ten minutes, hit the shopping on Drottninggatan even faster, and the central station is close enough that you don’t need to stress about catching trains or buses. Couples especially seem to get this location — I’ve noticed they rate it incredibly high, and I totally understand why.
The Room Experience
The rooms here strike that perfect balance between minimalist Scandinavian design and actual comfort. You know how some boutique hotels look great but feel a bit cold? This isn’t that. My room had these lovely touches — good lighting for actually reading, a workspace that didn’t feel like an afterthought, and windows that let in all that gorgeous Stockholm light (which, let’s be honest, you want to maximize when you’re this far north). The beds are properly comfortable too, not just Instagram-worthy.
Breakfast Worth Getting Up For
I’ll be straight with you — hotel breakfasts can be hit or miss, but Hobo really delivers here. They’ve got this impressive spread that covers pretty much every dietary need you can think of: continental classics, vegetarian options, vegan choices, gluten-free items, and even some Asian dishes thrown in for good measure. It’s buffet-style, which normally makes me a bit skeptical, but the quality is actually there. Plus, starting your day with a proper meal when you’re planning to walk around Stockholm all day? That’s just smart planning.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it feels authentically Stockholm rather than trying to be something it’s not. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood — they’ll point you toward the good coffee spots locals use, not just the obvious tourist places. There’s parking available if you’re driving (though honestly, you probably won’t need your car much once you’re here), and the whole operation just runs smoothly without being fussy about it. It’s the kind of hotel where you feel like you’re staying somewhere that belongs in the city, not just dropped into it. For the price point and location, it’s honestly hard to beat — especially when you factor in that you’re saving money on transport because you can walk everywhere that matters.

Jack from Ireland (9/10)
Thought the staff were extremely helpful. They allowed us to check in early and check out a little later which was very much appreciated. The room is quite basic but it worked for us considering we just stayed for one night. Overall a very pleasant experience!
