Elite Palace Hotel & Spa Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Elite Palace Hotel & Spa, you immediately get that refined Stockholm vibe — it’s polished without being stuffy, which honestly feels perfect for this part of the city. The four-star property sits right on Sankt Eriksgatan in Vasastan, and I mean, the location alone makes it worth considering. There’s something about the way they’ve designed the entrance that feels both welcoming and upscale, though not intimidating like some of the fancier places can be.

Location & Neighborhood

Vasastan is one of those Stockholm neighborhoods that locals actually love — it’s not just tourist central, you know? You’re walking distance from some genuinely great cafes and shops, plus the area has this lived-in feel that makes you understand why couples rate the location so highly (8.3 out of 10, which honestly makes sense once you’re there). The private parking is a real bonus too, because let’s be honest, finding parking in Stockholm can be a nightmare. From here, you can easily explore the city center, but you’re also in a spot where you can experience how Stockholmers actually live.

The Rooms & Spa Experience

The rooms have that clean Scandinavian aesthetic you’d expect, but with enough warmth to avoid feeling sterile. What I really appreciated was the attention to comfort — the beds are genuinely good, and the bathrooms feel more spacious than you’d expect for a Stockholm hotel. The spa facilities are where Elite Palace Hotel & Spa really shines though. It’s not huge, but it’s thoughtfully designed, and after a day of walking around the city, having that option right in your hotel is pretty perfect.

Dining & Breakfast

Okay, so the food here is actually impressive — and I say that as someone who’s eaten at a lot of hotel restaurants that were just… fine. The breakfast spread is extensive (continental, full English, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free options — basically everything), but more importantly, it’s well-executed. The dinner menu focuses on modern European cuisine with Swedish touches, and honestly, you could skip the tourist restaurant hunt and eat here without feeling like you’re missing out. The dining room has these big windows that make morning meals feel particularly pleasant.

Why Guests Love It

What really works about this place is how it balances being upscale with being approachable — you feel well taken care of without any pretension. The 8.1 rating reflects what you actually experience: solid service, a great neighborhood location, and amenities that enhance your stay rather than just existing for show. It’s the kind of hotel where you can relax after sightseeing, grab a good meal without leaving the building, and wake up in a part of Stockholm that feels authentic rather than manufactured for tourists. Plus, having that spa access when you need to unwind? That’s the kind of detail that makes a Stockholm trip feel more like a proper getaway.

Reviews of Elite Palace Hotel & Spa

  • Myra from New Zealand (9/10)

I stayed in room 700 1 bed apartment – it was large, windows opened and had lovely view. prior to that I had been allocated a room on the same floor that was quiet but faced into a courtyard was dark and not great. the staff were fantastic and arranged a room swap once another became available. highly recommend room 700 or 701. I stayed during Autumn so the heat was not an issue. loved the staff and breakfasts were fantastic. Had wine and food from next door in the lounge / bar area – food next door was out the gate ( great). Easy location to walk to Karolinska institute and Metro.
