Best Western Plus Time Hotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Best Western Plus Time Hotel, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical chain property. The lobby feels refreshingly modern without trying too hard — there’s something distinctly Scandinavian about the clean lines and warm lighting that puts you at ease right away. I mean, you’re still in Vasastan, one of Stockholm’s most charming neighborhoods, so the hotel seems to understand it doesn’t need to shout for attention. The staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re dragging luggage through a new city.

Location & Neighborhood

Vanadisvägen sits right in the heart of Vasastan, and I can see why couples rate this area so highly — it’s got that perfect mix of residential charm and urban energy. You’re actually within walking distance of Odenplan, which connects you to pretty much anywhere in Stockholm via the blue metro line. What I love about this spot is how you can grab morning coffee at local cafés that aren’t tourist traps, then easily hop on public transport to reach Gamla Stan or Södermalm. The tree-lined streets around here feel authentically Stockholm, you know what I mean? It’s where locals actually live and work.

The Rooms

The rooms at this four-star property strike that sweet spot between functional and comfortable. Everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together — the beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and there’s enough space to actually unpack without feeling cramped. The bathrooms are modern and well-lit, which matters more than you’d think when you’re getting ready for a day of sightseeing. I particularly appreciated the blackout curtains, because Stockholm’s summer light situation can be… intense, and you’ll want to sleep past 4 AM.

Practical Perks

What really sets this place apart are the details that make your stay smoother. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building — I tested it in the lobby, my room, and even the elevator (don’t ask why). There’s a decent breakfast spread that goes beyond the usual continental fare, though honestly, with so many great cafés in Vasastan, you might find yourself exploring the neighborhood instead. The front desk staff know their stuff about Stockholm and can point you toward lesser-known spots that guidebooks miss. Plus, the hotel’s proximity to multiple transport options means you’re never stuck figuring out how to get somewhere.

Why Guests Love It

This hotel works because it doesn’t try to be everything to everyone — it just does the fundamentals really well in a fantastic location. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you experience how the staff anticipates what you need without being intrusive, and how the neighborhood gives you that authentic Stockholm experience while keeping you connected to the rest of the city. For couples especially, Vasastan offers plenty of cozy restaurants and quiet parks for evening strolls, while the hotel provides a comfortable home base that feels more personal than corporate. It’s the kind of place where you’ll actually look forward to coming back at the end of a long day exploring the city.

The location was really good, right next to a very well connected station so getting around was a breeze. Also, breakfast selection was great, literalist had too much choice. Would 100% recommend staying here!

  • Guillermo from Spain (9/10)

Fantastic. The rooms are normal-sized, but clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom with heated floor available. The location is quite convenient, not so close to the city center on foot (25-30') but next to public transportation, including the bus station to and from Arlanda airport. Big supermarket right next door. But the best part of all is the breakfast; superb, one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. Huge variety, quality, nice and quiet breakfast lounge. Just fantastic.

  • Fouad from United Arab Emirates (8/10)

The hotel is located with in a short walk rom the bus stop and a 10 minute walk from the metro station. The room is comfortable and fairly large. The bed was comfortable and had large wall to ceiling windows. Breakfast was good with a large spread.

  • Edward from United Kingdom (8/10)

Very good selection for breakfast, including plenty of gluten free and lactose free options (while I don’t need this myself, it’s really good to see).
Room and bed very comfy, practical layout and everything I needed.
    WiFi worked well.
Staff friendly and accommodating with a smile.
Either the hotel was quiet when I stayed or there was good noise insulation.
Large supermarket next door handy if you like to pick up some supplies.
