Best Western Plus Hotel Kungens Kurva Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Best Western Plus Hotel Kungens Kurva, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical chain hotel experience. The four-star property sits in what locals know as Stockholm’s retail hub — honestly, I was surprised how quiet and polished everything felt despite being surrounded by shopping centers and business districts. The lobby strikes that perfect balance between modern Scandinavian design and welcoming warmth, with clean lines and natural materials that don’t feel cold or sterile.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I found really practical about this spot — you’re actually positioned perfectly if you want to explore Stockholm without dealing with city center crowds and prices. Kungens Kurva is about 20 minutes from central Stockholm, but the trade-off is worth it. You’ve got IKEA practically next door (which, let’s be honest, most visitors end up visiting anyway), plus a whole retail complex if you need anything. The hotel provides private parking, which is honestly a godsend in Sweden where parking can cost more than your dinner. Couples seem to particularly appreciate this area — it’s got that suburban Stockholm vibe that feels authentically Swedish rather than touristy.
The Room Experience
The rooms follow that refined Scandinavian aesthetic you’d expect, but what impressed me most was the attention to practical details. Everything works properly — the shower has actual water pressure, the Wi-Fi doesn’t drop every five minutes, and the blackout curtains actually block out those endless summer nights (or winter darkness, depending when you visit). The beds are genuinely comfortable, not just hotel-marketing comfortable. I mean, after walking around Stockholm all day, you really notice when a mattress supports you properly versus just looking nice.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast setup here is where Best Western Plus Hotel Kungens Kurva really shows its four-star credentials. They offer both continental and buffet options, but the buffet is where it’s at — proper Swedish breakfast items alongside international choices. You know what I appreciated? They actually had good coffee, not that watery hotel stuff, and the selection changes enough that you won’t get bored if you’re staying several days. The dining area gets good natural light, which makes morning meals feel less institutional and more like you’re starting your day properly.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel works because it delivers on the practical stuff without sacrificing comfort. You’re getting upscale accommodations at a price point that won’t destroy your Stockholm budget, plus you can actually park your car and explore the area on foot. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience — not in that over-the-top way, but in that Swedish manner where they’re helpful and efficient without being intrusive. For couples especially, there’s something appealing about having a comfortable base that’s connected to the city but not overwhelmed by it. It’s the kind of place where you can have a proper Swedish hotel experience without feeling like you’re just another tourist checking boxes.
Early hotels booking in Stockholm secures Lucia concerts, ice-skating nights, and aurora boat safaris.

Reviews of Best Western Plus Hotel Kungens Kurva
Kuanysh from Kazakhstan (9/10)
One of the best hotels in Stockholm. Not too far from the center, around 5-7 minutes from the royal palace if you have a car. The reception girl is exceptional and terrific in her professionalism, great job! Unfortunately, I don't remember her name :(! The restaurant is great! The location and area of the hotel are also great!

I enjoyed the overall stay – from breakfast to property and staff. I especially loved that there was a spatious bathroom and that there is a restaurant where to dine or/and get coffee/tea in the evenings. The location is not central but it's very connected as there are many transportation options just a minute walk from the hotel.

Taneil from United Kingdom (8/10)
Staff was very accommodating, and even let me have a late checkout free of charge. Breakfast spread was great! Despite being a budget hotel everything was very high quality. Couldn’t recommend more.
Aidasarai from Sweden (8/10)
The hotel was overall excellent. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they have 24/7 reception service. Our room was on the small side, but it is great for a couple on short stay. We also quite enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It had plenty of options, and they were really good.
The hotel, although located further out from Stockholm city center, it is quite accessible through public transportation, and there are a lot of stores and malls around the area.Sergen from Denmark (8/10)
